Ex-Mercor · AI and human-data operations · Nashik, India

Teaching AI the things only humans can judge.

I was the first hire on Mercor’s Success Team and stayed through its run from $1B to $10B, building the operations that connect domain experts with AI labs. Today I lead Operations on the founding team of an early-stage AI startup in the same space.

What I actually do.

AI labs need domain experts to teach models the subjective, non-verifiable domains where human judgment matters most. My work is the engine underneath: the systems and the people that turn expert judgment into high-quality data at scale. I learned it at Mercor during hypergrowth and now run it end to end for a founding team.

The systems

Onboarding to payments

Talent onboarding, talent success, compliance, payments, vendor relationships and tooling strategy. Most recently I rebuilt a domain-expert onboarding system from scratch and cut onboarding time by roughly 80 percent.

The people

A distributed ops team

At Mercor I helped stand up Success for AI-lab customers while the company scaled ten times over. Today I lead a cross-functional operations team across time zones: onboarding, talent success and technical project management.

The automation

An engineer's habits

Three years of writing production software before I ever ran an operation. It shows up daily: automate the repetitive, instrument everything, scale what works.

$1B to $10B

Mercor’s valuation between my first day and my last.

The road here.

Engineer first, operator second. Every step taught me a little more about how good work actually gets produced, and how to make more of it happen.

Things I keep saying.

I write about human data and the unglamorous work of making AI training actually work. A few lines that keep coming back.

Every AI benchmark has a hidden step: a human deciding what “correct” means.

AI companies keep saying they need more data. Most of them don’t. They need better instructions.

Let’s talk.

Human data, operations at AI startups, or a small app idea you can’t stop thinking about. I read everything.
